Rhiannon Harries

Rhiannon Harries is a third-year PhD candidate whose research focuses on time, ethics and politics in contemporary European documentary film. A film-philosophical project, her thesis draws on the work of French thinkers Emmanuel Levinas and Jacques Rancière and covers filmmakers including Raymond Depardon and José Luis Guerín. Her publications include ‘Continuity and rupture – Levinas’s temporal ethics and Gideon Koppel’s sleep furiously’ in the New Review of Film and Television Studies (Vol. 13, Issue 2).
