Paper GE C2

Essay in German

This paper consists of questions in German related to the scheduled papers currently offered in Part II by the Department. Each scheduled paper is represented by two questions. There are also five questions of a more general nature. Questions in English (to be answered in German) are also set in relation to topics studied in the Linguistics Tripos.

The German Department offers preparation for this paper by means of a series of seminars run in the Michaelmas and Lent Terms. The seminars are also an opportunity for keeping up your proficiency in spoken German. You must register to join a seminar group at the start of the Michaelmas Term (see German Dept noticeboard). You will also need to arrange with your College Director of Studies to write some practice essays which can be marked in the context of a supervision.
