An A to Z of Naturalism

[this page is under development]

This inventory is a diagnostic tool. It does not include information about Naturalist authors and works readily available elsewhere. The aim, rather, is to define the nature and scope of Naturalism in literature and cinema by identifying its key preoccupations. Which persons, objects, substances, conditions, activities, and processes could be said to characterize a work as at the very least inclined that way by virtue of their appearance in it?
