Research:

My research focuses on conceptions of Bildung, self-cultivation, and Die Schöne Seele, the Beautiful Soul in German philosophy, particularly in the work of Goethe and Schiller, in relation to the aesthetic features and discursive practices of Enlightenment salon culture.
