Welcome to the Faculty Library

The Modern and Medieval Languages Library supports teaching and learning in European languages, literatures and cultures and in linguistics. The Library holds over 118,000 books and 3,000 films as well as foreign-language magazines and newspapers, scholarly journals, e-books and e-journals. MML undergraduates and MPhil students should find all the material they need for their studies in these collections.

The Library also includes a German research collection, the Beit Library.

Opening hours

Full Term: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 19.00 ; Saturday 11.00 - 16.00

Vacation: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00 ; Saturday: closed

Doors are locked 15 minutes before closing time.

Christmas Hours

19 November 2014

The Library will be open Monday to Friday from 9.00 - 17.00, December 8-19. We will close for the Christmas holidays on Friday, December 19 at 17.00 and re-open on Monday, January 5 at 9.00. Vacation borrowing begins on Monday, December 1. Happy Holidays to all our users! The MML Library Team
