MML Wins the Green Impact Excellence Award

For the fourth year in a row, MML participated and excelled in the 'Cambridge Green Challenge' awards. We are pleased to announce that this year we have won the Green Impact Excellence award in recognition of our collaboration with Newnham Croft Primary School.

This is the Faculty's fourth consecutive Green Impact award and a testament to the commitment of all members of the MML community. The objective of this year's project was to encourage environmental awareness in local schoolchildren. We partnered with Newnham Croft Primary School in order to get innovative ideas to improve biodiversity around the Sidgwick Site. At the beginning of the 2016-17 academic year we launched an art competition, asking the children to think creatively about how to increase native flora and fauna around the site. We are now making a plan for how best to implement some of these excellent ideas.

The MML Green Impact Team is very thankful for all of the help and time given by members of staff, students, the children and teachers at Newnham Croft Primary, and the larger community here at MML.
