About: 

Rowena conducts research into British Sign Language motion event descriptions, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. Previously she studied English Literature at Durham University (2008-2011) and completed an MPhil in English and Applied Linguistics at Cambridge (2011-2012). She supervises undergraduates on the course Li3 Language, Brain and Society. She also arranges interdisciplinary research and networking events funded by the ESRC and Language Sciences Initiative (see www.cambridgedockingstation.com for more information)
