Rebecca Reich’s research focuses on twentieth-century Russian literature and culture. She has interdisciplinary interests in film, music and popular culture; intellectual and cultural history; and the history of science, medicine, print culture and law. Her current book project examines psychiatric and literary conceptions of insanity in the Soviet Union from the 1950s to the 1980s. She received her PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University.
