School of Arts and Humanities MPhil Award

The Faculty Of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics is pleased to be able to offer one* full MPhil Studentship, funded by the School of Arts and Humanities, for a student starting in October 2019.  The studentship will consist of the university composition fee (tuition/College fees) at the Home/EU rate plus the standard UKRI-level maintenance award, at the pro-rata rate for the period of an MPhil (9 months).

This particular award is available only to applicants applying for an MPhil course at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages (i.e. the MPhil in Film and Screen Studies, the MPhil in European, Latin American and Comparative Literatures and Cultures, or the MPhils in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics).

Home/EU and overseas applicants will be considered, but please note that the level of funding available is only available at the Home/EU rate.

There is no separate application form to apply for these awards, however applicants must submit their application for admission via the applicant portal by 3 January 2019.  When applying, applicants should complete the funding section of the application form.

*Please note it is possible that, under certain circumstances, the Faculty may decide to offer two partial studentships in place of one full studentship.
