The Faculty runs three MPhil courses, which run from October to June.


The MPhil in European, Latin American and Comparative Literatures and Cultures (ELAC)

The MPhil in European, Latin American and Comparative Literatures and Cultures (ELAC) provides you with the critical and theoretical tools to enable you to undertake in-depth study of specific aspects of European literature and culture and/or Latin American and Francophone contexts.


The MPhil in Film and Screen Studies

The MPhil in Film and Screen Studies is an interdisciplinary degree that offers a firm grounding in the theoretical discourses that shape the academic study of the moving image, but in an expansive context that privileges freedom and originality of inquiry.


The MPhils in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics

The Theoretical and Applied Linguistics MPhil by Advanced Study route is intended for students who wish to extend and deepen their existing knowledge of the language sciences and their application.

The Theoretical and Applied Linguistics MPhil by Dissertation route is for students whose knowledge of linguistics is already substantial, and who already know the area they wish to research for their thesis.
