Mehves works with Marian, our Teaching and Learning Support Librarian, to deliver teaching sessions, including study skills and critical thinking. She is responsible for the Library’s French, Italian and Wellbeing collections and is happy to respond to suggestions for purchases, research enquiries or questions about accessing resources or databases in these areas.

She is a very chatty librarian because she is curious about students’ papers, their projects and their everyday life practises. She is keen to learn and share, so drop in and have a chat over a cup of coffee any time!

Her interests include information literacy, user experience, using digital tools, living archives and documenting social movements. She likes challenges and different perspectives, which is why she believes in cross-disciplinary knowledge. Mehves studied Sociology and Political Economy and has worked in different libraries at Cambridge University. Before she began her library career, she was a digital media project coordinator in an international digital company.

Outside of work, Mehves also enjoys photography, theatre, swimming and running.
