"Learning Together" brings together people in criminal justice and higher education institutions

Just is

Dr. Emma Gilby (French) is co-ordinating an outreach programme to take place in Lent term, in collaboration with the Institute of Criminology.

"Learning Together" brings together people in criminal justice and higher education institutions, and aims to provide inclusive and transformative learning communities. Students learn with and from each other through dialogue and the sharing of experience.

In this case, we shall be bringing together 10 students from the French Section and 10 students from HM Prison Whitemoor, to study some of our first-year set texts in translation. Dr. Gilby will be working with colleagues Isabelle McNeill, Claire White, John Leigh, Hugo Azérad and Tim Chesters, who will each present texts in their specialist research area.

You can hear Drs. Ruth Armstrong and Amy Ludlow (Criminology) talking about the wider "Learning Together" project here (starts at 1h44 in).
