Overview of Scheduled Papers offered by Slavonic Studies . 

All papers (with the exception of Paper SL10: Studies in Twentieth Century Ukrainian Literature and Film and CS3: The Slavonic Languages - Part II Only) are available at Part IB and Part II. 

Part IA:

Parts IB and II:

  • Paper SL2: The History and Culture of Early Rus.(Part IB and Part II)
  • Paper SL3: Early Modern Russia: literature, history, and visual culture from 1300 to 1725 (Part IB and Part II) Paper suspended until further notice
  • Paper SL4: Russian Culture from the Golden Age to the Silver Age (Part IB and Part II)
  • Paper SL5: Russian Culture after 1900 (Part IB and Part II) Paper suspended in 2017-18
  • Paper SL6: Russian Culture after 1953(Part IB and Part II) 
  • Paper SL7: Soviet and Russian Cinema(Part IB and Part II)

  • Paper SL9: Introduction to the Language, Literature and Culture of Ukraine (Part IB and Part II). Please note that Part IB students who took Option A (ab initio) in Russian and who wish to take SL9 must also take a Slavonic scheduled paper other than SL9 and SL13.

  • Paper SL13: Introduction to the Language, Literature and Culture of Poland (Part IB and Part II). Please note that Part IB students who took Option A (ab initio) in Russian and who wish to take SL13 must also take a Slavonic scheduled paper other than SL9 and SL13.
  • Paper SL14: Russian Culture from 1905 to the Death of Stalin (Part IB and Part II) New paper in 2017-18

Comparative Papers

  • CS 3: The Slavonic Languages Available at Part II only for undergraduate students. There is no restriction on graduate students.
