Modern Greek Section
Right: "Greece: An original painting by Elizabeth Bailey"
Please see our news and events page for details of current and forthcoming items of interest in the Modern Greek section.
Admissions to Modern Greek for the MML Tripos are suspended until further notice. However, existing undergraduate students can still take Paper Gr 3, "Introduction to Modern Greek language and culture". Language courses (Certificate and Diploma) and MPhil options continue to be available.
In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, the joint submission of the Modern Greek Section and the Faculty of Classics was recognised as the strongest in the UK for this unit of assessment (Classics, Ancient History, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies).
The Modern and Medieval Languages timetable for the year is available here. Click on the 'begin' link, and then select the languages whose timetables you would like to consult. The timetable includes information about the rooms where lectures will take place. However, please always check on the boards outside the lecture block as there are sometimes late changes to venues.
