Latin American Cultural Studies Consortium

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the Centre of Latin American Studies are pleased to announce a new Consortium in Latin American Cultural Studies for PhD students. Faculty academics elected to the fellowship of the British Academy

Two of the Faculty's Professors have been elected to the fellowship of the British Academy. Professor Robert Gordon, Serena Professor of Italian, and Professor Joachim Whaley, Professor of German History and Thought, both Fellows of Gonville and Caius College, were elected FBA on 16th July 2015.

GCSE students discover the wonders of German

115 GCSE and A-level students, accompanied by 37 teachers, representing 30 schools from across the UK attended an event hosted by Cambridge Online German for Schools (COGS) programme run by the University’s Department of German and Dutch on 13 June at Murray Edwards College.
