MMLL Cambridge to participate in prestigious Prix Goncourt

We're pleased to share that the prestigious Prix Goncourt, the francophone equivalent of the Booker Prize, is coming to Cambridge! Our Faculty is once again taking part in selecting the laureate for the United Kingdom. The laureate will be announced at an event hosted at the French Embassy on March 22, where representatives from 15 UK universities will gather. Two MMLL delegates will be representing Cambridge at this significant event.

The Choix Goncourt of the United Kingdom is a literary prize awarded to an author selected from among the finalists of the French Prix Goncourt, by French-speaking students at around fifteen British partner universities. It is organized with the support of the Académie Goncourt, the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie, the La Page bookstore in London and with the assistance of the French Institute in the United Kingdom and the Maison Française in Oxford.
