Department Symposium: New Directions in Russian and Soviet Cinema Studies

18-20 September 2014, Trinity College, University of Cambridge Jointly organized by UCL SSEES and the University of Cambridge, this major conference brings together leading members of the growing international community of scholars working in the field of Russian and Soviet cinema studies, in order to explore and assess potential new research directions in this area. In so doing, it seeks to identify the current state of the scholarly field, to outline the key questions and challenges it faces over the next decade, and to encourage and promote an innovative and forward-looking approach to research in this field.

Friday 5 - Saturday 6 September 2014, Darwin College, Cambridge This symposium will gather researchers working on the social, economic, and cultural implications of changes in information technologies in the early modern period in Russia.
